5-Year Warranty
Every Openwater product is designed to move with you for years to come. We stand behind that promise with a 5-Year Warranty — a reflection of our commitment to quality, durability, and long-term performance.
Your product is covered against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use throughout the warranty period. If such an issue occurs, we will take responsibility and provide an appropriate solution. This may include repair, replacement with the same or an equivalent model, or another suitable remedy.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, normal wear and tear, or damage resulting from airline, airport, or third-party handling.
If your luggage is damaged during transit, the damage must be reported directly to the airline or handling agent immediately upon arrival, before leaving the terminal, in accordance with airline procedures.

Exclusively Engineered Components
All components used in Openwater products are exclusively developed within our own engineering platform, built upon a foundation of 83 patents.
Nothing is generic or off-the-shelf.
From wheel systems and handles to locking mechanisms, zipper constructions, and interior architecture, every element is purpose-designed as part of an integrated system. This ensures mechanical harmony, consistent tolerances, and reliable long-term performance. By controlling the development of each key component, we secure quality, serviceability, and structural coherence across the entire product — creating luggage that functions as a complete engineered ecosystem rather than a collection of standard parts.
Strategic Partners
At Openwater, we develop as much as we can ourselves, but for certain specialist components we work with highly regarded partners to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability. We use YKK for our zipper systems, chosen for their proven performance and smooth operation. The interior fabrics are made from recycled polyester supplied by Baichuan Resources Recycling, ensuring traceable, responsible recycled content. For security, we integrate the Travel Sentry® approved lock system — a globally recognised TSA lock standard that allows authorised airport security to open and relock luggage without damage, marked by the distinctive red diamond for travel confidence worldwide.

At Openwater, products are manufactured within our own factory, allowing full control over materials, tolerances, and assembly processes. This direct integration between engineering and production ensures that every specification defined during development is preserved throughout manufacturing.
Each component is produced within controlled environments where precision, repeatability, and consistency are essential. Structural elements, mechanical interfaces, and assembly sequences are monitored to maintain alignment with the original engineering intent.
